A FEW DAYS IN BERWICK

During this time the 16th Ohio, along with the rest of the First Division, 13th Army Corps, Department of the Gulf, to which they were attached, camped in Berwick, Louisiana, along the Atchafalaya River and across the river from Brashear City (Morgan City), Louisiana. Also during this time, the 1st and 2nd Brigades left by ship for Texas, where the 3rd Brigade and the 16th Ohio would soon join them.
