16th Ohio Volunteer Infantry
Where was the regiment from
October 31 to November 3, 1863
CAMPING NEAR NEW IBERIA

Available information is sketchy, however, it can be deduced that the 16th Ohio made camp about three miles below New Iberia, assuming this to be further southeast, on the Previous day or this day. Without confirmation of the regiment's exact location we will show its camp as being in the immediate vicinity of the town of New Iberia.

Pvt. Thomas Linn tells us the 31st was cold and clear in the morning and more pleasant in the afternoon.
