ARRIVAL AT NEW IBERIA

On this day the regiment began its march southeast at 4:00 am and marched 20 miles to New Iberia, Louisiana. Reports indicate several soldiers, including Lt. John Boling and Pvt./Wagoner Warner Hall, rejoined the regiment during the night. It is not known where they had been, although it is possible they had been taken prisoner at Chickasaw Bayou, like Lt. Col. Kershner, and are finally returning to the regiment.
