ON THE MARCH AGAIN

Today, the 16th Ohio arose from their camp in New Iberia, Louisiana, early in the morning with orders to move. Although the Division began at 5:00 am, the 16th Ohio did not begin until midday. The regiment was loaded into wagons and rode eighteen miles to the southeast, backtracking the same route they had travelled a month earlier. The regiment camped about midnight a few miles northwest from Franklin.
