IN CAMP AT OPELOUSAS

On these two days the 16th Ohio remained camped at the town of Opelousas, Louisiana. Reports tell us the weather was sunny but still very cold and windy. The men spent time foraging for potatoes and other food items which were, apparently, in great abundance in the area.
