This is an excellent map of the Siege of Jackson, drawn by Herman Albert Ulffers, Assistant Engineer, working for Capt. Cyrus Ballou Comstock, an engineer with the 1st Battalion Engineers, U. S. Army, in September, 1863. The location of the 16th Ohio would be near the indication of Gen. Osterhaus' position on the siege line, shown left center of the map.
