ARMY CORRESPONDENCE.

CUMBERLAND GAP, June 20, 1862.

FRIENDS ESTILL:--The Gap is ours. We outflanked the enemy, and they evacuated on double quick after burning and destroying everything they could. We captured 5 cannon, including the 64 pounder. I have just learned that I can send a note in the morning, and do so. I will write you in detail as soon as possible. We have no mail facilities yet. Yours, &c.

M. B. DESILVA.
